About Us
Corri Norman had the dream of starting a dance competition in Humboldt for years and brought the idea forward to the Quill Plains Regional Rec Board in 1993. Upon approval to start a not-for-profit, volunteer run dance festival, planning got underway and the first festival was held in 1995 and was called Quill Plains Regional Dance Festival. When the Quill Plains Rec Board decided to shut down, Cory and the rest of the dance festival volunteers knew the competition had to keep going and thus OnStage was born.
Over the years, thousands of dancers have taken the stage here and we strive to reach thousands more in the years to come.

FREE GIFTS
All participating dancers and teachers receive a thoughtful gift upon arrival/registration at the competition!
LARGE PRACTICE AREA
Complete with sport court flooring to protect your dancers bodies, we have a massive practice area where you can run your routines as many times as needed!
Hair & Makeup Room
We have a dedicated space for dancers to do their hair and makeup! It is complete with mirrors, tables, chairs, and lots of plugins!!
Tradeshow
Throughout the competition, there is a tradeshow on site with lots of vendors including activewear, dancewear, gifts, and more!
STAR DEVOILER
We host the coveted Star Devoiler dance-off with cash prizes!
LARGE CHANGE ROOMS
Our large change room space allows dancers to have space and privacy while changing. There is plenty of room so dancers can each have their own space.
Large Stage
Our newly expanded stage is one of the largest in the province at 52'x28'
Concession
There is a delicious concession on-site with a variety of options for all and a large seating/table aera for you to sit and eat!
VIP ROOM
All participating teachers have access to our VIP ROOM with all meals supplied as well as snacks & refreshments!
VIEWING AREA
Not able to make it into the audience? No problem! We have the entire competition streamed into the registration/lobby area along with seating so you never miss a dance!
Licensed Beverage Room
That's right! All attendees of legal drinking age are welcome to purchase a $5 pass to our licensed beverage room. All proceeds go towards projects that benefit the dancers!
